    Hey folks,

Im a Pro V1 guy since they launched.

My Pro tells me he can't get them, so I check AMAZON. Got two Dozen NP problem. This question may be for the Folks at Titleist, But should I have counterfit concerns?

I heard all the stories about people unable to find them but I had no Problem at all.

Maybe, since it seems like a lot of the items on Amazon come from overseas sellers. I trust walking in to my local golf shop, even the big box stores near me, more than Amazon.

I am surprised your pro says he can't get them. They seem to be available here on the Titleist website and other retail outlets. As for Amazon, they usually show the original source location as they are just distributors of other people's products. If the original source is a well known retailer, you can feel safe. I really have not heard of too many counterfeit balls, especially if packaged in normal retail containers. I would be nervous if they came in some other type of packaging. Titleist has some nice ways to order direct and get your preferred number or other customizations like alignment lines. They also run the "buy 3 get 1 free" deal every spring. Watch for that.

I have also heard a golf ball shortage is likely coming in the near future. AvidGolfer is a local golf magazine in a number of markets in the US, including Dallas. The owner of AvidGolfer has said he is hearing about a possible golf ball shortage from equipment companies. The shelves are not as fully stocked as they normally are at my local PGA Tour Superstore in Plano, TX. I know that is a small sample size but it is something I have never seen before.

I'm not trying to create a panic or anything, but given the current supply chain situation impacting a lot of industries (including golf clubs), it does make sense. Plus the golf boom that began in 2020. Those novice golfers go through a lot of balls in a round, lol.

Might be a good idea to ask Santa for a few dozen golf balls for Christmas.

I do have a 12'x12' spot in the garage where I can stack them next to my wall of toilet paper.

I haven't seen any indication of a shortage. My local PGA Superstore though isn't carrying Pro V1x left dash, I'll have to order them online.

Has anyone else seen a glove shortage? I use the Titleist players glove, PGA's shelves were pretty much bare across the line of both Titleist and FJ. Only thing they had were a few smalls and mediums and when I say "few", I mean like 1 or 2 of each size.

The Chrome folks have cutoff custom orders, either in response to demand or trying to prepare a new release. On the Titleist side, my pro shop can’t get amber urethane balls. With factory shutdowns in Thailand and in Mass for COVID and the ballooning demand in general for golf, it stands to reason that there will be localized shortages. Other East Asian suppliers have also had diminished production for golf products. Add in shipping delays at Long Beach and LA with reduced CDL license drivers with high demand, this may well carry into 2022. I’m just not expecting to go fishing in golf course ponds to restock my ball supplies.

No problem here in FL with Titleist golf balls either on course or at Dick's, the nearest of course store to me. If necessary to order online, Amazon or Ebay would be the last place that I would ever order golf items from. So many more reputable people to deal with that are authorized Titleist dealers. Dick's, TGW, Carl's Golfland, PGA Tour Superstore and Golflocker.com.

I have ten dozen on my shelf in mancave. Should be in good shape, thanks to golf events, Team Titleist and the 3/4 spring sale. Really do not loose a lot of balls.

Went to PGA again today because I needed to pick up some grips. Still no gloves in my size, but ZERO Pro V1 family golf balls. Never thought I would see that.

Placed an order for FJ gloves a month ago and they will be in in December. Same old issue, supply cannot meet demands. Ships are setting at ports waiting to be unloaded and not enough trucks to deliver.
  12. Yep, that's weird. I went into PGA Superstore (Houston area) last week and the shelves were stocked with all the Titleist flavors even the special numbered balls, however the Left Dash that I was after they did not have.

I visited with my pro shop and they have plenty of varieties as well...except Left Dash, they told me they only get about 12 dozen at a time and they go quickly.

Glad it worked out for you Kevin. Again, be on the lookout for Titleist free personalization during the Christmas holidays and 4-for-3 deal in the spring. Those have happened in the past and probably will happen again in the future. Hit'm straight and stay safe!
  16. I have no idea if there is going to be a golf ball shortage. I do know ProV1 is the only ball I have played since it was introduced 20 years ago, and the only ball I play now, so I have no hesitation in pick up another dozen or two from my local retailer, in addition to the 5 dozen in my closet now. Playing year round in Florida I know I’ll use them so if a shortage ever comes it will be no problem.

The whole industry as whole has been I,pacted, getting right size gloves, shafts, grips....balls are no different. Usually I don't really stock up, but lately, what ever I think I will need, I but. have now 2 extra sets of grips, 3 doz ProV, and half doz gloves.
