  1. Hey.

I have seen a lot of players have gone to pro v1x this year. I am thinking of changing from pro v1 but would like to know how people have found them after changing from Pro v1? Want more spin and higher ball flight. What do we think?

I finally made the change from Pro V1 to Pro V1x last year. I knew I needed to make the change when the ball characteristics changed a couple of models ago but I had a hard time adjusting to the firmer feel of the Pro V1x, especially chipping and putting. After doing a live ball fitting and seeing the drastic differences in height and spin, I knew I just needed to commit to the change and get used to the difference in feel. It took me a couple of months but I am glad I did it. It will boil down to what you place in your priorities of what you want from your ball. It was important enough for me to make the change but that's not the case for everyone. Good luck.

Take a sleeve out on the course and see if they fit your needs. The X should provide that for you but still may not be what you need after using them on the course based on feel VS the V model. I play the V because of feel & ball flight.

  4. Yeah I prefer the harder feel & the click off the putter face.

The higher ball flight ️ is great to see and the green side spin sometimes looks really impressive.

I switched last summer to the Prov1x. The feel/sound off the driver took me a few rounds to get used to. I actually liked the firmer feel off the irons/wedges and putter right away.

If you like the ball flight and spin after trying the x, then put them in the bag and you will adjust pretty quickly.

I have used both and still do. I like the ProV1x when I need carry and higher flight on wet or soft course. There is definitely a different feel between the two and the soft ProV1 is best in dry summer months on firm, hard greens.
