New ProV1 and ProV1X vs current ProV's

    I wasn't fortunate to get some of the prototype ProV1's or X's and was wondering if you guys that got them could feel the difference or recognize any real performance gains?

    I will use up my 2021 stock first and then move on to 2023 edition... after all we really don't want any major changes to the best and most consistent ball there is!

    Yes. That's probably the biggest difference in the new balls.

    Might want to read the results of the testing that was done by our guys. I participated in the testing and found the new Prov1s to be a bit longer that the previous model. You can come to your own conclusion from the results. The official release date is January 25th.

    I have been completely bamboozled learning just this morning that the ProV1x has been the lower-launch/lower-spin ball for the last half decade. I had always believed the X was made for players wanting less spin in their long game and actually just recently had switched to the X because of this. Turns out the ProV1 is the low-spin/low-launch ball I should have been using. Really confusing because I am almost positive that when they released these two balls, the X was originally the one with lower spin. It's that way for TM TP5x and cally ChromeSoftX. Excited to try the new ProV1s now confirm my incorrectness

    I am almost certain that the X was the low spin option back in the day. But you are right, the V is the low spin ball on full shots and lower launching as well. I don't see any difference really around the greens. Haven't tried the new ball yet but they seem softer than the 21 ball on indoor putting around the house.

    I’ve sinced switched from the 2022 PROV1x to the 2022 PROV1 and can see a noticeable drop in spin and ball flight.
    The feel around the green esp putting is a key factor into which ball I choose.
