  1. While clearing my closet, I came across an unopened box of 2017 ProV1 balls. They have apparently been there since they were purchased. As this is a climate controlled environment, will these balls still be usable? Thanks in advance.

Yes. There are several articles out there that explain that the modern solid ball loses very little performance over time, especially when kept away from extreme heat. You are probably more likely to be effected by a damaged cover on a new ball than a pristine, well kept ball that is 5 years old. The slightest alteration to the cover can have the ball flying way off line as opposed to an older pristine ball coming up a yard shorter than usual. We all alter our distances daily due to course conditions so direction is much more critical than distance. Open up those 2017's and use them all up, quickly. Then grab the 2023's because they are great golf balls.
  3. Thanks.
Playing this weekend in Pinehurst. I’ll give them a go!
  4. I read up on this lately too. A ball kept in a normal temperature environment, lasts up to 10 years. This obviously depends on a lot of things but personally I don't use balls older than a few seasons, which anyway is 4-6 years.
