  1. So many of us mark our Titleist balls with a straight line, and many pros also… why don’t the balls come marked accurately with a line as an option for customers?? Just a suggestion…

The ProV1 and ProV1x come with the name and an arrow on each side of the name. That is to allow for the same thing as drawing a solid line, just not as bold since not everyone wants to use a long, solid line. Seems like the perfect compromise to me. Under the personalize your ball option when ordering from Titleist on-line, there are a bunch of different styles you can use also.

You can add various alignment options through the ball customization program under the logo option -

And if someone else doesn’t like them, they can’t come off. Another viewpoint,
You have options to add custom side markings.
There are limits to the number of line items a pro shop can add. There already 5 V/X to stock already. Don’t see with/without longer lines being standard.

I get mine stamped that reads "NOT YOURS". Aside from the factory markings, that's all I need

While I prefer to get mine directly through Titleist, golfballs.com has more extensive sight line customization options for those that want the longer, thicker line without doing it themselves.

I prefer to draw my own line on the ball. A green line on Pro V1's and a red line on Pro V1x left dash. I'm currently testing both on the course and I need to tell them apart.

You can order them with any kind of alignment aid you want, either through Titleist or Golfballs.com. You can even get a short block letter phrase like "YOU"RE GONNA MISS ANYWAYS". (Not my choice - it was a gift)
  9. I've never marked a ball. I'm too OCD and if it's crooked, i won't play it..... i know that sounds silly but it's just what it is. Instead, I just make sure no-one else is using an AVX ball the same number as mine and we're all good!
