I’ve read a lot about the left dash and everyone keeps telling me that I need to play them. Just looking for real life experience/opinions. My ball flight with my irons is a high trajectory with lots of backspin. False fronts are my arch rival. Does the left dash actually control spin well enough to make a switch? Currently playing pro v1. I love the ball flight compared the x but the amount of spin is killing me.

Prov1 has 388 dimple pattern and Prov1x left dash has 328 dimple pattern (the regular Prov1x and the AVX have a dimple pattern of 348). less dimples, less spin.

I am picker of the golf ball with my irons and I need spin.. Therefore I need a ball with spin and play the Prov 1, but also like the distance that I can create with the prov1 and my TSID3 driver 10.75* with a Fujikura 661 TR shaft.

The Prov1 is for players that prioritize performance and the left dash Prov1x for those looking for high flight and low spin.

You can go to BALLS above (go to the bottom) and do a side by side comparison.
  3. I switched to the left dash a little over a year ago and it was a game-changer for me. I had some of the same issues, with higher than preferred ball flight and a lot of spin on my irons, but the left dash seems to be a more stable ball flight with a little less spin = a few extra yards while dropping & stopping on the greens. It may be a little firm for some, but I actually prefer the feel and have had no issues around the green (at least related to the ball…lol).

That said, I would definitely give it a shot!

Thanks! I see the that the prov1 left dot is back up on the site. That one seems like it could be a good option for me too. Appreciate the feedback. Definitely giving the left dash a shot and the left dot when released. I love the prov1 off the tee and the feel but the spin is just killing me. So funny to say that considering in high school all I wanted was to spin it like the pros.

The black dot has a 352 dimple pattern which will give a you a bit less spin than the regular Prov1. Of course they are not currently available online and very hard to find at local shops. My boss who is a scratch golfer plays the Pro1x because he spins the ball so much. Says he can dig a garden with his divots. Gave him some left dash to try.

I've been playing the Left Dash for a couple of years. Previously I played the first and second editions of the AVX. Because of a health scare, my 2022 golf season was cut short. When the white boxes of the new ProV's arrived I wasn't back making full swings. I did test them inside 50 yards and around the green. It would be great to know how the new ProV1's and ProV1x compare to the Left Dash. It would also be good to know if there will be any changes made to the Left Dash. Before I finalize my loyalty order for the season it would be great to have these questions answered. I'm hoping a Titleist Staffing will respond to these questions or anybody in the know.

    Thanks!

The only balls that have changed this year are the Prov1 and Prov1x, to date. All others remain the same.

Just switched to Left Dash at the end of last season. Love to feel so far. Looking forward to using them this season.
