  1. What do you guys use for practice balls

I don't hit great amount on the driving range but on the chipping green and putting green I always use pro v1

I need to get the right feel for the shots on the course

I have a shag bag with balls I have taken out of play due to scratches, discoloration, and older models. I use that when just doing short game practice. If a pre-round warm up on the putting and chipping green, I always use the balls I am about to put in play.

Agree. Use my own balls for chipping and putting.

Agree, "new hat time". Titleist has some great hats for it's loyalists and contributors.

Just build up a shag bag of balls over time and use those for practicing.

Agreed with everyone else. Previously played balls are used for chipping and short game. Putting practice is ALWAYS a new Pro V.

Agree with the group, I have a shag bag full of "out of play" Titleist balls. Just like Dale, after a round or two (if I'm playing well) they will go in the shag bag. Every year or so I'll purge those as well.

And yes you need a new hat!! Welcome to the TT group.

About 3 years ago I purchased some Titleist PROv1 Practice balls at a major retailer. I figure I should practice with what I play. I practice (given the weather) about twice a week chipping. I hit these 24 balls about 3 times each session. (72 chips, 15-30 yards from the green).
Since then they have discolored and worn. I can't tell if they feel any different.

My question to you guys is should I replace these practice balls? (My apologies for all of the information but IF you give your opinion I wanted you to have all of the facts)
