  1. Hi I have played TM (t-step 90 shafts) for over 20 years. Recently I purchased a set of AP1 irons with a Nippon NS Pro 970 shaft. Having trouble hitting the Titleist irons, what is the difference in the two shafts, grams, kick point, etc?

  2. After 24hrs of no comments concerning my question, let me ask it a different way. I had a Lengthy discussion with a Titleist rep I told him I have had good success with TM T-Step 90 shafts. I wanted to try the AP1clubs. I wanted a shaft that was as close to the T-Step 90as Titleist had to offer. He recommended the Nippon NS pro 970 shafts. Should I have chosen a different Titleist shaft.
  3. I ask this question 3 day ago, with no reply from anyone. You mean no one from Team Titleist has any feedback concerning these 2 shafts. COME ON I need some opinions

The Nippon 970 is about the same weight, but depending on the flex it can play quite a bit stiffer in the tip than the TM shaft you are used to. My experience with the Nippon 970 consists of only one session at a Titleist demo day, so keep that in mind, but I think the soft regular plays like the regular TM and the regular like the TM stiff. In other words the Titleist 970 IMHO is a bit more tip stiff in the same flex. Hope that helps.
