    Hello,

I am looking to regrip my 710 CB Forged set. I'm looking at either the Golf Pride Multi Compounds, the Golf Pride Niions, the Winn Dry-Tacs, or the Golf Pride Tour Wraps. I know that all the grips are a bit different, but there's a little bit about each grip that I really like. Does anyone know of any grips that combine soft feel, tackiness or maybe a little bit of the chalkiness that the Niions have? Or are there any other grips that anyone would really strongly recommend?

    Thanks!

I personally really enjoy the GP Multi Compounds.  You're weather conditions really can tell which grip to lean towards.  Being in the DC around I play in very humid conditions so these grips provide me a great deal of confidence that I will not lose my grip while providing an overwhelming amount of feedback on my shots.  When they get a little on the "slick" side, a quick cleaning and a couple swipes with sandpaper and they are like new.  Absolutely well worth the price tag!

I regripped my 712's this year... I came across Pure Grips. I tried them and liked them very much. Check them out. puregrips.com

How about the VDR's? Dri-Tacs aren't bad, they just don't last very long. I personally play the Z-Cords and LOVE them. What kind of conditions do you usually play in? Do you play in hot weather? Rain? If so, you may want to also consider a grip that's going to give you good grip during the rain, or when it's hot out and your hand(s) sweat. The Multi-Compound may be a good choice for you. It has the cord/texture for a good grip and control, yet, it has the rubber for feel, etc..

Dri-Tacs feel nice, but they do not last. My brother regripped all 14 in them and needed to regrip a handful of clubs again within 3 months and he only plays 1-2 times a week.

I personally use the New Decades, I've been using them forever but I may give the Z Cord a look when I regrip all 14 over winter. The New Decades tend to get really slick over time, humidity tends to speed up this process.

I recently switched over to the Winn Dri-Tacs and they are great - not too soft, not too hard and great feel for around the greens.  They are also great in the rain.  I'd give them a shot if I were you.

    Best,

I'm a Golf Pride guy.  Hard to beat the Tour Velvets.

GP Tour Velvet BTC Cord is what I use.

I'm going to try the Z-Grips/Z-Grip Patriot out to see how they feel.

I really like the multi compounds.  They work well for me.

I really like the feel of the GP New Decade MultiCompound grips.  Some of the comments here talk about them getting a little slick and I have noticed the wear on the grips.  I re-grip my clubs twice per year and do it when they start to become a little slick.  I even sometimes will regrip my wedges more frequently as they wear out more quickly due to the volume of practice that goes on these clubs.

    Thanks for all the responses!

I play in Michigan, and the climate can be pretty extreme on either side of the thermometer, so I decided to go with midsize Multi Compounds. I checked out all of your suggestions, and it was between those and the Tour-Z's (also referred to as the Z Cord).

Thanks Again for all of the answers.

I'm from OH, so, I know how it is when it comes to the weather up this way. Glad to hear you found a grip you liked. I played MC's forever, until the Z Cords came out. Hope they work out well for you.

I have the Niion grips on my wedges and I love them.  Lots of feel and just tacky enough in all conditions.  I did just switch to the Golf Pride VDR grips, and I give them two thumbs up.  Good feel, with just enough roughness like they are a cord grip.  And with some awesome Oklahoma humidity, I do  not get any sliding during a round.  Hope this helps.

    Hello Jacob,

I recently, about a year ago, bought a second-hand set of Titleist 710 CB's that had been gripped with  Lamkin N-Dur 3Gen grips and have fallen in love with them.

I also have been a Golf Pride Multi Compound grip user for a long time, and in fact have a set of Titleist 670 blades that are gripped with the Golf Pride grips. And I also keep extras for seasonal changes, but I've really become a believer in the Lamkin grips previously mentioned.

Try them. I think you will like them too.

I've been a GP New Decade fan for a long time but recently put one of the new Z grips on my driver, When it comes time to regrip the set, the Z is what I'm going with.  Nice soft feel, tacky and comfortable.

    Good luck on your search.

    Try Iomic sticky grips.

them on my wedges and driver for 2 years. They are expensive but seem to last forever
