Any word yet on what the stock shaft offerings are going to be? I’m sure most of the upcharge options will be the same as they’ve been over the years. I saw something online about a Hzrdus silver being an option?

Don't know all of them, but when I pre-ordered mine, I got the Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Blue 65 X-Stiff
  3. Titleist has expanded the Hazardous line of options as well as now has a new and improved Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Blue that has Xlink. So lots of new options, one new option on the premium side is the Graphite Design AD Tour VR...all worth looking at.

    Cheers, Chris

Think I saw that the Fujikura Speeder 64 is back in stock. I have that in my 917D2, backup driver and that is one awesome driver. My current gamer is a TSi3 with a Fujikura Speeder 661 TR S. They seem to give me my best results.

I am not aware of "stock" options however there are no uncharge options...for instance check out the customs book at:

    media.titleist.com/.../Titleist-Clubs-Custom-Options-2022.pdf

It will show you for drivers, hybrids and irons what is available.

I’m curious how many getting fit for the new TSR end up getting fit into a different shaft setup or if they keep their current shaft and just upgrade to the TSR head?

I always seem to keep my gamer shaft. I'm in an LA Golf DJ Series TX at the moment and my fitter didn't have anything else even close to it. I'n all fairness to the fitting setup though, there were still some really good shafts. The new HZDRUS 4G is miles ahead of the previous generation in terms of feel and it's still really stable.

The are some people, like me, that had to loft up with the TSR Driver. So the shaft also changed.

Old driver is TSi2 9.0 degree with a GD Tour AD IZ-6S. new driver is TSR2 10 degree with a Ventus Velocore Red 6S. TSR2 Fairway Woods will now be a 4 and 7 Wood set up instead of a 3 and 5 wood set up.

How do you find the Velocore Red? I tried the Blue but was a bit underwhelmed to be honest, although I did like the Red in a fairway wood when I tried it.
I'm thinking of switching my driver (TSR2 10 degree) to the Red so interested in why you chose it and what the benefits/experience has been if you wouldn't mind sharing? I'm around the 100mph mark with a driver so would also look at the 60g S flex.
    Thanks,
    Tony

Went in to see my favorite fitter yesterday to officially check out the new TSR drivers. We have a good working relationships and he is not there to make a sale, even though he owns the shop (Titleist account), and he treats his customers with complete honesty. Tried all the heads and even a new lighter shaft which I just scattered all over the place. We first hit my current set up that he put together for me when the TSIs came out to get a starting place. Do we need to upgrade this year? As you get older, you swing changes and you are not always as strong as you once were. Have trying all the new TSR heads and shaft combinations, he put my current shaft which is no longer available, in the TSR2 and no increase. The the TSR3 which is like my current TSI3 and no matter what we did we could not get enough yardage to justify a new driver. Still strong enough to hit the Fujikura Speeder 661 Stiff but not weak enough to go to a regular shaft, yet. Unless maybe I restructure my who golf swing. At 76 do not think this is going to happen. He suggested we wait for the next cycle. But we will be looking at the 5 and 7 wood versus my 816 and 818 hybrids. We go back when is not real busy and check those out against my current clubs. Will most likely move on new irons when the next cycle comes out on irons. Same thing happened with the TS drivers, they did not work for me, but glad when the TSIs came out. Show significant improvement. DO RECOMMEND everyone give them a go with a certified Titleist fitter. They are work the time. I trust mine. Very qualified and honest.

Is there a good place to learn the differences and how they might compare head to head? Yes, a fitter will be able to suggest and guide me during a fitting but I would like to know more before the fitting. I did a YouTube search and really didnt see anyone making a vidio about the shafts only the heads.

There's a good reason for this though. Unless it's robot testing, it's generally not that valuable to the viewer. Everybody delivers the club differently and more importantly, everybody REACTS to weight, balance points and profiles differently. If you play for long enough, you'll get a feel for the weight and profile that you generally find agreeable, but walking in cold, Titleist will have 30+ shafts there to try so you should be able to find something. But a perfect example was the Tensei 1K Black. I was excited to try it and all I heard was that it was stiff/super stable. That thing felt like a car antenna to me, I hit it all over the planet. You just have to trust the fitter and let him do his thing.

Thank you for the comment. I agree and need to hit them and let the data and feel determine the best fit.. something that a spec sheet cant.
  15. I tried the 1 k black stiff today and I am between 95 to 100 on swing and I could not get that damn thing to flex. It felt like a telephone poll, stuck with my AVRaw Blue.
  16. I know I was fitted into the 1K Tensei Black so it is a stock offering
  17. I have always played the Project X HZRDUS. This time when fitted I was actually put into the New Ventus TR line. Shaft is amazing. I would give it a try and compare with your gamer. Again the TR line not just the Ventus.

I played HZRDUS RDX in TSi3 but fitted into the new counterbalanced HZRDUS in the TSR (driver and fairway). Loved the feeling of the extra mass in the handle. Definitely recommend checking it out if you are an RDX player now.

Made the switch to Ventus Blue TR and have never looked back. Can’t recommend them enough.

  22. I played the HZRDUS RDX 70G for the TSI3 and made the switch to TSR3 w/ GD AD DI 6X. Was fitted both times. Can't wait for the TSR3 to arrive.

I’m really interested about a feedback from the HZRUS red 50 shaft in the TSR Driver. Spin?
  24. I'm playing the HZRDUS Red CB 50 Stiff with my TSR3 10 degree loft driver. I got fit for it with Titleist. My spin numbers were good and low but the launch on it is amazing. In the fitting (the driver I bought) my numbers for spin were about 2050, dynamic loft 15 degrees, max height 73 feet, ball speed 147 mph, carry 254.6, and total distance of 296 yards. The hang time is what I was blown away by, it was about 5.5 seconds, and seems like an eternity watching the ball. I have played twice with it so far, both times I played 9 holes, and am seeing between 275 to 310 yards on the course. I absolutely love this driver! Loved it so much I just bought the TSR3 fairway wood with 15 degree loft.

I am getting fit Monday with a Titleist fitter, but I may not pull the trigger on a purchase until the TSr1 is released and I can try that.

I was fitted for the TSR2 with the HZRDUS Red CB 50, R (5.5) Flex. I have a moderate swing speed and was getting great numbers on the launch monitor during my fitting. It's on order. Hoping to get it soon.
