  1. Contemplating a 7 wood to replace my 4 iron. Any success stories?

At my speed, I might as well play a 2 iron instead of a 4 iron. Neither will get enough launch to get enough distance. I use a 7 wood.
Do you get 10-15 yards consistently more than a 5 iron?
Will an approach shot with the 4 iron more likely to roll off the back of the green?
A 7 Wood should be more consistent with distance and launch higher to land softer on greens. When a tool doesn’t do the right job, time to consider a new tool. The right tool might be a driving iron, hybrid, or fairway. Depends on the task you want it to do.

    Love the 7wood, I don't use a Hybrid, I carry both 7 wood and 5wood, and they cover my 200- 250 range

Wish I could hit my driver 250, taking my age into consideration. Will see how all the PT has paid off tomorrow. Think I am going to hold at 80 this year, only in my mind of course. Whew, be careful what I wish for. Hakuna matata.

It's in my thumbnail. My current is a GT2 21 with Bassara 55 x5ct R. Stock length with A2 Surefit. I have a red Bassara A flex for when the time comes. This shatt was attached to a TSR2 18 head and the GT2 actually hits farther.

I also have had a couple iterations of 910F 21 since about 2015 or so. My current one I've had since 2019. I played an Ilima 71 R until a year ago. 41" shaft. Currently has Bassara R with A flex available.

My first ever 7 wood from Titleist was a 975F from my Dad in 2007. I played it for 3 years.

My one two punch for some time has been a 910F 21 and 816H1 27.

Love my 7 wood!! I'm just mad at myself though, because somehow I put a little dent in the crown. It's my own fault for being so dang clumsy.
  7. I bought a 7 wood in January as I was struggling with my 5 wood. It’s rapidly become my favourite club. Easy to hit from the fairway, goes a decent distance to be a safe tee shot on all but the longest holes.

Only issue I have now is my tsi2 4 wood doesn’t really go much further so may have to upgrade that as it isn’t getting used.
