    Hello everyone,

I am a life long Titleist player since the first AP2's came out. I have purchased all the new models since then and just received my 2025 T150/T250 custom ordered clubs. I ordered them at D2-D3, standard length, 1.5* flat and standard lofts with Aerotech Steelfiber i110 regular flex.

They came in yesterday and I picked them up and unboxed them at the store. They felt heavy which surprised me since the steelfiber i110 usually swing weight a little lighter. When we checked the swing weight they all came at D6.5. and they were all built a 1/4 inch long.

I was shocked to say the least. Called Titleist and they asked to have them shipped back next day air which we did.

My question is how long does/will it take Titleist to build them correctly and ship back to me. It took over 3 1/2 weeks to get them. Will it take that long to have Titleist fix and resend.

    Thanks

You picked them up at the “store” leads me to believe the store might have made an error in the order form. I have toured the Carlsbad Assembly Plant and seen how the electronic order forms are computerized and how each assembly station using machinery that sets those specks and takes human error almost completely out of the assembly process. Bad human keystrokes on the master order is the most common reason for clubs to be off. I would recommend anyone ordering from a store to have them print you a copy of the order sheet and double check what they send in. That said, the updated order should be quicker as they normally put those in front of the line of any order backlog. Unless there are shafts or grips now unavailable that need to come from their suppliers, it should go fast. Shipping from CA to NC always takes a few days too. Sorry this happened but glad you noticed and will get the set that fits your swing!

Nope Dale. The order was sent in correctly. That is what is shocking. Titleist sent a next day shipping label in so they can see what happened. I’m curious as well.

Building hundreds of custom orders daily, it’s not inconceivable that the numbers from the fitter into the build cycle got mixed up. Good to hear Titleist wants to make it right. Building 5000 sets a week, even an error rate of 0.04% is 2 orders a week. I’ve always been in the 99.96% done right.

Swing weight is only partly affected by the weight of the shaft and head. Having taken a tour, they match head weights to get to the SW and add weights in the hosel to adjust. I don’t know that a 1/4 long will take the SW from D2-D3 to D6, but the swing weight increases as the length increases. Pendulum affect. Whether it was just the shaft length than increased the SW, Titleist should get it right. With any luck provide overnight shipping to cut transit time from 5-6 business days to 1. It will still take 4-5 days to cycle through the factory build cycle.

  5. Ordered a GT2 5-wood through my club March 26 and ship time was six weeks. Now they are saying it’s going to be 11 weeks. Fitter had said it should be about a week since every thing is stock.
