With my first case of planter fasciitis 30 years ago, my casual shoes have been NB SL1 lasts. The selections are not same as 30 years ago (go figure) with interesting colors and no longer using the SL designation.

I saw this year that FJ lists a “jogger” with a crepe sole. With solid colors, I got a pair. My jogging is now walking the dog a few miles daily. Great fit and comfort. At my swing speed they even work well golfing.

Thought I’d give a shoutout as the experience exceeded my expectations. Not sure why they were named joggers but work great do casual use.

The Contour Jogger, a great choice. Comes in four colors - Brown/Tan, Charcoal, Tan and Navy. Super Soft Water resistant Suede. Cushing Molded lightweight PU FitBed. Midsole dul-duometer comfort foam. Outsole versaTrax Rubber with EVA. A full rounded toe character, full across the forefoot, standard instep and heel. The last bottom has been contoured to more closely match the shape of the foot. SRP $125.

There are the Contour "Casuals" and the Contour Joggers, which are more of an Athletic looking shoe. The Joggers are great for as stated, Jogging, then walking and playing golf. Enjoy this great shoe.

I’m on my second pair of these shoes I got a pair at a Golfer’s Journal event last year and wore them out. I liked the comfort of them so much that I purchased another pair. Comfy, stylish, waterproof.

Thank you Don O for posting shoes. When I saw the title "Joggers" I was very worried you went to pants with the elastic around the ankles. I was even more worried you were posting pictures. :)

LOL, sadly, my joggers days, if I were to ever wear them, are long gone...

You should be glad photos can’t be added in replies. I still have a couple of full length running pants to complete your image. Having retired from X-country/5-10 K runs after 50 years almost a decade ago, I probably should “pay them forward”. The shorts with a 5 inch inseam are scary enough. Have those as well.

Shorts with a 5 inch inseam is one scary thought. Don not something to even think about. Reminds me of my high school basketball and track shorts. I laugh every time is see my high school annual from the 60's. =)

I have BB and track shots from the 60’s as well. Those were the days - at least I didn’t look scary in them as I would now. Or just as an old man that needs a full length mirror before leaving the house.

I had the same feeling when I saw the title of the post. I am having a hard time adjusting to the many people wearing the "jogger" pants while playing golf. A few of the tour pros have started and just don't like it. Keep those for the runs to the store but not on the course. Just my opinion for what it's worth.

Don O. Thanks for the nice review of the Contour Joggers. Were you able to wear your normal size and width in these? How are they on those damp mornings? Do they do okay or do you switch shoes for those types of conditions? Inquiring minds are interested. Ted

I wear the same size as my Pro-SL’s Which is not the same as my New Balance running shoes.
Damp mornings would require me to be out early. In retirement and in WI with moderate daytime highs, I let daybreak heal before I play.
With a driver head speed of 85, I don’t notice a difference with the spineless Pro-SLs. However, during periods of rain, I use the Pro-SLs to minimize sliding on soft turf. But for a par 3 course, I can just jump on course with a Sunday bag and the Joggers. My (man’s) best friend gets a 5K walk daily and the support is very comfortable. A poor fit can make for sore feet.
As long as I don’t need to go to Velcro closure shoes, I’ll be adding more of these as the NB shoes get retired.
  14. Well they look compfy haha
