Our very first day in Gold Beach, OR- at Cedar Ridge GC.

187 yard par 3 with a wedge. Beautiful (and rare for me) high draw and we heard a CRACK!

The couple that was driving to the next green yelled in excitement, and my playing partner bear hugged me.

I was convinced I’d hit the pin and flew it off the green, so we walked up.

As I walked to the hole I was sure it would be empty, but lo and behold there was the ball. I had swished it on the fly, hitting the pin at the base.

First hole in one, hopefully not the last. I do a sports radio show back in Sacramento, and had a great story to tell when I returned.
