We were playing our weekly Friday afternoon 9 hole scramble on the Morgan River course at Dataw Island. We reached number 8 and one of our foursome had not reached his two drive minimum. He hit first on the short par 3. His shot was not his best as he left it short and in the rough. The next two players also missed the green. As I was going thru my set up, the first player whispered to another “looks like we’ll have to use my lousy shot unless he holes this. My shot landed on the green just right of the pin, bounced left towards the pin rolled several yards and dropped in the cup. Giving me my second hole in one some 51 years after my first. I was using my usual ball a yellow tour soft Titleist which made it very easy to watch it roll in.
