Coming off #1 after a bogey on the first hole with a terrible drive. Calm, cool, & collected as My handicap ranges between a 17-19. Get to the second tee with my group and tell them “I think I’ve stuck this green 2 or 3 times out of the 20 times a played it. They both doubled the first hole so I hit first. The hole was playing approximately 130 up hill with the pin in the back. Took out my 9i, and hit for the center of the green. Green slopes left to right so was going for left edge. Hit my shot and it felt grate and knew I hit it in a decent spot. Group hits and we ride up. No ball on the green so I said “holy sh** might be in the hole”. My partner replies “no I think you rolled off the back”. So I grab my wedge and putter and look for the ball quick. Don’t see it and I catch a glimpse of a ball mark on the fringe. Walk over to the hole and see my ball in the cup. BOOM! First ace. Forgot my phone on the tee box so had to get a picture on my partners phone. Went back to the tee box shaking in excitement and obviously told the group of older gentleman I just got my first hole in one and they were as excited as I was.
