I am a fair weather golfer and almost called my buddy to tell him it was too cold and rainy to golf that day. It was definitely going to be my last round of the season, so I decided to suck it up. When I arrived at the course approximately one hour away from my house, the rain clouds had dispersed and the sun was shining. I had never played Bowmanville Country Club before and we both had a couple decent holes to start. Then came hole #3. Playing 126 yards with all carry being over water, light swirling breeze coming in over the trees. I decided to through a light pitching wedge at it. The ball was half way there and my buddy said out loud, "Oh, that's a pin seeker!" We then both watched it hit just a foot or two short of the hole and one hope right in. We both freaked out yelling and cheering and messed up our handshake/hug just like Tiger and Steve Williams did at the masters HAHA. An old boy walking up to the tee box behind us asked, who just got the hole in one as he could clearly tell what happened. My buddy and I hesitated and thought, what do we do, this is amazing. Then we said, well hell, lets get over there. What a beauty playing partner. Mike Kelly was just as excited as if he hit the hole in one himself. We snapped a couple pics. We both saw it go in, but part of me didn't believe what we saw until I got right up to the hole on the green. My first hole in one. Here's hoping for my buddy Mike to get his first. I can feel it coming. Still vibrating from my hole in one, I tee up on the par 4 4th. Hands shaking, I pull my 3 wood out and hit my tee shot. That gem of a playing partner, Mike Kelly says, "and he stripes in down the middle after a hole in one, what a guy!" LOL ... I went on to bogey that hole haha. Thanks
