  1. Hi Titleist Team,

I know you probably get messages like this all the time—but I had to share mine.

I play in a casual men’s league, and while I’d never call myself a great golfer, I’m serious enough to care what’s in my bag. I’ve always played cally irons—mostly because that’s what I’ve had access to over the years. Recently, I got my hands on the AI Smoke driver and fairway woods, and loved them. My Mavrik Max irons were due for retirement, so I worked with my pro to get a set of newer ones. I was on a budget, though, so I didn’t exactly have my pick of the litter.

But I did treat myself to a fresh sleeve of Titleist AVX balls.

Fast forward to yesterday. My new irons had just arrived. No range time, no warm-up. I peeled the plastic off my 9 iron as we stood on the tee box of Hole 16—145-yard par 3. First swing of the day. First swing ever with that iron. One of those new AVX balls teed up nice and clean.

Pure contact. High and straight. It looked like it might’ve rolled off the back, so my partner and I spent a few minutes searching. Finally, he called out: “Dude… check the cup.”

There it was. My first hole-in-one. Ever.

I couldn’t believe it. Still can’t. But I do know this: • It was my first swing with a new iron. • It was my first shot of the round. • And it was a Titleist AVX that found the bottom of the cup.

I may not be a scratch golfer, or a pro, or even someone with all Titleist gear (yet)—but I’m a believer in that ball.

Thanks for making something that helped an average golfer have an unforgettable moment.

    Best, Cory Miller

PS - the reason why the ball looks like a cow is because my partner and I coordinated cow outfits for our member member last week and then plumbers because he is a plumber. We were the only ones to dress up. Trying to throw some chaos into the mix.
