I was playing with my son’s future father in law so I was explaining each hole as I hosted him at my golf course. After we finished hole #4, I told him the next hole (hole 5) was our signature hole and I do not have a good relationship with this beautiful par 3. (Usually because I pull it left or hit it short in the water). He asked me if I’d ever had a hole in one as we drove to the tee box, and I responded “No”. He then said, “well, you are due for one!”

So we got on the tee to discuss the yardage / wind, and I lead off with a pretty good shot which felt good (151 yard 9 iron). As the ball was mid air I yelled out, “hey Guy, Look!” Jokingly thinking of our discussion 2 minutes before. The ball landed on the front of the green with the pin up front, and the ball released in slow motion toward the hole, and BAM! It went in! We saw it disappear and jumped around like a bunch of crazy people which got the attention of many neighbors who came out to see what had just happened! It was an incredible moment and I’m blessed to have done it with my son, his future father in law, my brother and close friend’s son.
