Our course was closed due to a golf event so my husband called a local Country Club and reserved a tee time to play with his buddies and me. When we play we play the 6 point game for money. We were on hole #6 a par 3. I hit last and never saw my ball come down but I told my husband, “I hit it good, maybe too good.” When we got to the green I was getting bummed because I didn’t see my ball and was beginning to walk to the rough past the green when my husband’s friend walked to the pin and looked in, shaking his head and smiling, and I don’t even remember what he said but the look on his face was enough! I shrieked with joy and immediately said “thank you God!” After it, I had trouble concentrating and didn’t take advantage of earning a respectable score but getting a hole in one is a great feeling. After I bought them drinks and got to my car someone had smashed their car into mine so I tried to find the culprit and after waiting awhile I left to go home and see my boys who had driven home from college for the weekend. The guys did end up owing me money but I forgot to get the scorecard so I told them they didn’t need yo pay their debt but to just find the scorecard and get it to me. I’m still waiting on it. All in all, when I went to bed that night, I climbed back out of bed (even though I was super tired) and I knelt on the side of my bed and said prayers of gratitude and also prayed for all the people in the whole wide world. You see, I don’t think I’m that talented, rather, I believe God wanted to do something really nice for me and the reason I think this is because HE was the first thing I thought of when I found out I had a HOI.
