I was playing in charity event for the local educational foundation with my wife and another couple. We were on the 13th hole and I was the first to hit. It was a blind shot as the hole was tucked behind a mound on the green. It was about 120 yards and I hit a smooth 3/4 PW. Once I made contact, I said "that could be good" to myself. When it landed, I said out loud that could be in! My friends wife replied with "You got a hole in one?". I said no, but it is probably pretty close as we couldn't see it go in. Everyone else hit and as we drove up to the green, we didn't see anything on the green and I realize there was a bunker just beyond the pin. I figured it was in there and when it wasn't in the bunker I checked the hole and the party started from there!! It was a gorgeous June day in Maine on the Ocean. What a way to get my first hole in one!
