We were playing in a pairs comp (official club comp) which is a board comp at our club. Harpenden Common Golf Club in Hertfordshire. Standing on the 18th tee we had 40 points, the 18th is a par 3, to get in the prizes we figured we needed a birdie. I stepped up and hit an 8 iron 135 yards into a very stiff wind against and off the left, it went exactly where I aimed it, perfect contact couple of bounces and it goes in the hole! 4 points, 44 points in total and we win the comp! Has anyone ever won a comp with a hole in one?
