The Golf Club Pine Royale is a new par-3 course in Callahan, Florida, that opened on February 27, 2026. My golf buddy and I decided to give it a try on June 24, 2026.

The fifth hole played 65 yards, with the pin tucked just a few feet from the front collar. I hit my Cleveland CVX 60-degree gap wedge directly at the flag. My shot landed in the first cut, bounced twice, and rolled straight into the cup.

The pro shop staff told me it was only the second hole-in-one recorded since the course opened. After playing golf for more than 50 years, this was my very first hole-in-one.

I'm especially proud to say I made the shot using the best ball in golf—a yellow Titleist Pro V1i.
