I had no expectations of the day other than getting to know a new member of the club that I was playing with. From the moment I teed off - I was hitting the ball well. I am a 19 handicap and made the turn with a 40 — well below my handicap. I parred the ninth and hit the green in reg from 154 yards away with a 7 Iron to finish the front with 4 pars.
The caddie scoped out #10 to play 156 and said "use whatever you hit on 9 to make the green". I hit it solid and it was headed for the green but left of the pin. Not thinking it was going to be near the pin, I bent down to pick up my tee. Caddie yelled "look up"! The ball hit left side of green and rolled up and over an undulation to start to descend right. As if in slow motion the ball rolled slightly downhill to the right for about 8 yards and went right in.
Caddie ran across the tee box and literally hoisted me in the air. No member was in shock and was like "does everyone get holes in one here". Truly a memorable day.
