I was last minute invited on a golf trip with some buddies to Sequoya National Golf Club in North Carolina. There were 8 of us split into back to back foursomes for 3 36 hole days, great trip! Round 2 day 1 was a 2v2 best ball in which I was not playing very well. We all get backed up on hole 8 tee box which is a 144yard par 3. The group in front of us is the other half of our party and they are sitting on the green watching us hit into them. I decided to use my “putting” ball which is a pro V 1 with the putting lines on them. This is the only time this ball was ever hit with something other than a putter. Best struck pitching wedge of my life, one hops at 140 and falls in the hole. The green was a false front so we couldn’t see it from the tee box but once it dropped the group on the green went nuts. Awesome trip.
