  1. Hello everyone,

I’m new here and the only non-titleist item in my bag is my Odyssey EXO putter. While I will probably always hang on to this putter I am looking at purchasing a SC putter. I’m looking for recommendations, I don’t want a mallet and I’m looking at a blade. Looking for a unique style (probably not a Newport). Any recommendations? I’ve probably used 100 putters in my life! I change them all the time. Thanks!!

  2. I would just look at specs and go with a blade close to your current putter specs and most importantly something you gain confidence looking over I have found with my Scotty if I make any mistakes it is me not the putter and I will have this putter for the rest of my life which gives me huge confidence
  3. They have a bunch of mid mallets fastback squareback etc

More unique styles would have to be purchased on eBay or similar. I get what you mean though; I play a Circa 62 #1 early release and a Laguna 1.5 custom shop.

If you have used 100 putters in your life just go to a local pro shop and grab the one that fits your eye.
Don't worry about it too much you will be on to 102 soon anyways.

    Cheers,

  6. Thanks for the input!!
  7. Look at some of the older models of different is what you are after. The Circa 62 series is cool...so is the studio select series. I like the California Monterey best, but the Laguna is a cool different head that may fit your description. If money is no object then every Wed on Scottys website he releases 5 or so new creations that go fast around 11am est. Best of luck, send pic of your new flagstick when you pull the trigger on the model!
  8. Well I think I’ve decided what I’m going to try to go with. An original Newport or Santa Fe. I know in my first post I said probably not a Newport, but after doing research I’ve narrowed it down to those two models, I definitely want an older model, solid without an insert or adjustable weights. Wish me luck!
  9. I found the putter I’ve been dreaming about!! It’s an original Santa Fe in immaculate condition! It doesn’t have the original grip, but it has a Cameron grip, so I will probably try to find an original to put on it!!

The most important thing is the confidence that you get when you stand over a putt, the feel when the ball comes off the face. For me the look/feel are the most important, I have several SC's that I rotate between two mallets and three blades. Best of luck with the Santa Fe, that is a very nice putter.
  11. As ive just had a fitting id really recommend one. I had my mind set on a Newport and ended up buying a Flowback. Much better suited to my putting stroke with the way the head is weighted evenly as opposed to toe weighted.
