Watched the gallery drop this morning Feb 8, 2023. Instead of the gallery putters selling out in seconds. There’s now a process of entering a drawing for your desired putter for the opportunity to purchase it. What do you think about this? Will it help battle the bots that grab new putters every weeks for scalpers?

  2. I hope this keeps the bots away. I think it’s a pretty cool idea who ever came up with it.

I agree. The bots have been running the game when it comes to limited releases. It’s sad to see for genuine enthusiasts. This system can be great if it’s maintained people don’t find ways to beat the system again. Good luck!

Should be nice and hope it works. Although, I'll never justify a $4000 putter. I'm not THAT good! Good luck to those who purchase.

I think it’s a great idea to help the “well heeled” collectors! Now maybe they’ll do something to help the rank and file Club Members get a head cover or other piece once in a while!

That is my biggest frustration with Scotty Cameron, going into the shop and seeing that other than some stickers and maybe a pitch mark tool, everything else is "sold."

Yeah since they are no longer doing fittings this is the only way without spending 10K and getting ripped off
  8. Definitely an improvement. I guess the question is how long do you have to enter? Hopefully, now that they have this, they can control it a bit better. Like when they select who gets to buy, they could now in theory not let someone buy who recently bought one, giving more people a chance.

What I was reading. Everyone has an hour to enter the drawing from time of drops. Winners are selected and have 8 hours from time of notification to purchase their putter via a special link provided in the email. And winners have a 1 month wait time to even enter another drawing.

The member email said 1 hour to enter from the time of putters posted to website. 8 hours to purchase from the time of notification of winning the chance to buy.

You may enter for more than 1 putter, then be able to buy more than one putter in the same release, but the head scratcher is no more than 1 putter a month…

I am glad that Scotty Cameron is trying new ways to slow down the bots.
  12. Although now that there is a “better chance” of getting one im afraid i may actually buy one!!!!

I agree too. I was texting my buddy about this change and told him I’d entered for the Chromatic Bronze Tour Rat. He asked me what I’d do if I actually won. I told I guess I’d just have to buy it haha!

I think so too. I’ve made it to the drops online in time before but they never have what I just can’t live without. Maybe in the next few weeks they’ll have what I’m looking for and the stars will align and I’ll win the lottery. Happy hunting!

Can justify that amount for a whole set, but one club. Not me. As long as the putter is in the Anser style and has a milled face, I can handle it. He makes some good putters for much less. Not a collector, I game my putters.

Love it… and hope they add this to the Club Cameron next year… I have tried every year and it’s getting old.

I fortunately was able grab a membership this year. But the other frustration with it is, that unless you’re at the website the second a new release drops you’re missing almost everything. A 24hr notice email of the drop would help mitigate that problem for me personally but it what it is unless they decide the make that hope a reality.

Love it, hate seeing putters gonzo in one second and five seconds later they're on Ebay! Well Done SC!

I agree. Seeing the putters posted on eBay or resale groups on Facebook literally seconds after they sell out on the SC website is a bit disappointing. It makes you wonder if Scotty Cameron is seeing these posts and watching all the resale scalpers and devising a way to combat or even ban such people. Especially for them stealing almost twice his profit at times. The raffle system I think has a lot of advantages to deterring bots and resales but unfortunately the regular item releases are still plagued with scalpers just trying to make a quick buck. It really does bode poorly for the genuine enthusiasts hopes of scoring awesome gear. Maybe a system to monitor resales and placing a flag on their account would help with that but the logistics of that would be such an astronomical task.

I love the opportunity of raffles or the potentiality of winning an item especially something as prestigious as a Scotty Cameron putter. However I often feel like they only offer these opportunities most of the time to people on the East Coast Southeast or even Southwest United States . I live in Oregon and would love to see opportunities specified in certain States or regions

I am military in Oregon and oftentimes don't get the chance to jump on the sweepstakes or sudden drops of items and would love it if titleist was able to send out an email with a 24 or 48 hour notification for items being dropped to their team titleist members.

If you’re not already a part of the Team Titleist Facebook group I would highly recommend joining. For at least the last couple years, some one has given and least a 48 hour notice to a Team Titleist gear drop. And the day the drop goes live a link is put in the group for everyone to use.

Still horrible experience though. I just found a website that has had Club Cameron items and "member advance" items listed for sale. So can't say that their new approach is much of a success.

Do you have to be a Club Cameron member to enter? When I get the email they're already sold out. Thanks

These drops usually happen about 11:30 EST every Wednesday. Depending on your time zone will dictate when you’ll want to be on the site. After they page refreshes with the new putters you have 1 hour to enter the drawings. Usually if you wait for the email you’re almost always too late.

Sorry, I will not spend $4K on a putter. I am a Titleist loyalist but............ Just sayin".

The system reminds me a lot of what a former basketball player with the initials MJ and how they have a draw system for the shoes, in theory, keep out the bots. Maybe the demand is too high, but you see the shoes immediately on all the resale sites.

I generally run sub .500 on the draws that I enter. Like Chuck said though, I can't justify $4K for any club in the bag though. If I was guaranteed to never 3 putt again, maybe.
