Newport 2 Champions choice vs full milled face

    Has anyone rolled both insert and milled face putters? How do they both feel and what ball do you play with them? is the insert any more or less forgiving?

    Personally I am not a fan of the inserts. I have tried both in mallets and blades but always revert back to the full milled face. I prefer the sound and feel, not to mention it helps with off center hits. IMO

    I have a Super Select Newport 2.5+ (Special Deluxe MOTO), a 2021 Champions Choice Newport 2, and a 2025 Studio Style Catalina (among others). The insert putters definitely have different feel than the Newport 2.5+, the Catalina with the Studio Carbon Steel insert has a harder feel, and the Champs Choice has a copper insert and a softer feel. My favorite of the three is the Catalina, but I game them all and they all have different meaning for me.
