Ok Carolina Peeps! If you put something together down there, I'll make it.

I'll admit, I had never really paid attention to this course that much. Due to it's place on he schedule--Masters Hangover--and the not great fields it usually drew, I never really watched much of it.

But I watched all four days, and the more I saw of the course I loved it. Man those are some narrow chutes on some of those approaches, but what a beautiful setting. And with all the vacation/rental villas and condos on site, it would make for a great event.

Sound like something @chuckZ could get behnd once he's healthy enough to get back out there!

It could even be on the short list for 2021 or later annual TTI location. Time to rotate back to the east coast. Until then, a local event sounds good. I am planning a November trip out there with the wife and maybe my oldest daughter. That means two rounds of golf and several days of other stuff like a side trip to Savannah. Probably will play Harbour Town and Atlantic Dunes.

Played both Atlantic Dunes and Harbour Town - different courses/layout but both terrific. HB gets most acknowledgments for a championship caliber course (and rightfully so) but I really liked AD. Underrated by some in my book.

I totally agree. Harbour Town Links and Atlantic Dunes would be two great courses to play. There is also Heron Point which is a Pete Dye design course that they include in most packages. There is The Inn and Club at Harbour Town which could accommodate everyone. I think it would be an awesome place for an event.

Airport shuttles, airport taxi services and ride-sharing services provide convenient transportation to Hilton Head Island from both the Hilton Head Island Airport and Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. And if you’re driving, Hilton Head Island is located a quick 30-minute drive from Interstate 95 (I-95)..

Got my vote, pack my car and be there in about an hour and a half. It is a beautiful island and Reilly's Bar and Grill is a great place to unwind outside the gate. There is always Salty Dog Safe on South Beach. Think everyone will have a great time. With respect to other venues. =)

If they did it at Harbour Town, I'd be there. It's easily drivable by car for me. The course, probably less so for me, been struggling mightily off the tee lately.

Yeah Chuck, I think Sea Pines still has a Titleist affiliation, key to being picked for our annual Team Titleist Invitational. Other east coast locations besides the ones they have used (Pinehurst, Sawgrass, Kiawah) that would seem likely to be considered might be Hilton Head, Sea Island, Greenbrier, or maybe even Streamsong. West coast could be Torrey Pines, Monterey, or Broadmoor. Texas has Barton Creek or TPC San Antonio. I am not waiting to see what happens. I have the opportunity to get back to Hilton Head in November so COVID willing, I plan to get it done. I used to conference out there every fall and played most of the lesser courses on the island but never the best ones. The wife loves Savannah so we will spend some time across the river too. Once I lock in the dates for play I will let you know in case you want to join me.

Titleist and Foot Joy have a strong presence at Sea Pines, as well as all the courses on Hilton Head and Beaufort. Know the rep down there real well.

I've never been to Hilton Head to play golf (except virtually) but would really be interested if something were to come together. Every time I watch it on TV I think about what it would be like to tee it up on the 18th looking at that lighthouse.

It's pretty cool to walk up the lighthouse...great memorabilia and info from the years hosting the tourney. The view from the top is neat as looking down the 18th it is amazing how wide the fairway is. I still feel like I could find a way to miss it though!

Hilton Head would be a great spot , maybe even hop over and play the Legends Course at Parris Island after watching the Friday morning graduation .

We cycled through HH and played both Harbor Town and Heron Point on the way to the Kiawah Island TT Trip a couple of years ago. I would go back in a heart beat.

Great choice! One of my favorites.
  19. We just played it yesterday and course is incredible. Tight, tight fairways and smallest greens on tour.

The family was on HHI a few weeks ago and even got in a couple of family rounds. Harbor Town was in very good shape. We also played two courses at Palmetto Dunes (Fazio & Hills), really enjoyed both courses.

I would definitely be interested in a HHI event.
  22. Count me in if we can pull this together! Great spot...

Not waiting for an official event. Headed there November 12 - 16 to get Harbour Town and Atlantic Dunes off the bucket list. I can alway come back for a future TTI or maybe even a locally planned event.
  25. We escape the WI winter each February & March; headed to HHI in 2021. Staying on the 9th fairway of Atlantic Dunes. Great practice facility. Hole #15, ace in 2020. Happy to make a second visit to attend a TT event.

Welcome to the lowcountry of SC. We love it. As we say, no place finer. I recognize that porch, which is an awesome place to look out over the course. The week after the Masters, starting on Tuesday, they do pro/am events prior to the RBC Heritage. Selected vendors set up inside to offer tee gifts that the participants get to choose from. Titleist (hats, bags, balls and clubs) and FootJoy (shoes and socks) are major participants in the pro/am events. The participants are given a gift card to spend inside based on which level pro/am they are playing in. The cost to play ranges from $3500 to $5000 per individual. It is well organized by the plaid jacket committee, who are awesome to work with and some really nice gentlemen. Hopefully it will be a go this year with the pandemic and should know something soon. I love working this event and Hilton Head Island.
  27. Headed to HHI for a week Oct 19-25 to play the Nationals for Golfweek Am Tour and can’t wait. We are playing several different courses all week.

I would certainly be down for a TT event at HHI

Okay, yes, weather was pretty crummy today but no lightning or standing water so play on. And yes, this place should be on the short list for a future TTI. Atlantic Dunes on Saturday.
