So I'm going to be taking a trip to Las Vegas for some golf, and would like to know some things before going. If anyone can help me out, that would be wonderful. First, I will be flying via Allegiant Air, and was wondering if anyone had experience taking their clubs on this particular business? How did it go? Also, I was wondering if I'm strictly going for golf, what would be the best hotels to stay at, and which golf courses do you recommend. I just want something close enough, which I can Uber or Lyft really close! Anymore recommendations I will take too! Thank you.

TPC Las Vegas connected with the JW Marriott Resort in Summerlin. As a guest, there is a reduced rate for the course. Across the street from the resort is Angel Park which has courses from a putting course to an 18 hole course. You can get by with Uber/Lyft to/from the airport only. There is a casino at the resort as well if you still have spare change left over to donate. I've played the Las Vegas Club as one of the closer sites to the strip, but it was a bit of a dog track. As well as separate Uber fees.

You only buy your seat on Allegiant - everything else costs more. It might be worthwhile to use a common carrier to send your clubs (i.e. Shipsticks) if you check the price. They would have a better guarantee if damaged. I've only used Delta for shipping my sticks as luggage so I can't comment on Allegiant.

Thank you for the reply! I will check into that, since I would really like to play TPC Las Vegas.

I would have suggested Wolf Creek in Mesquite, but you said you wanted something close. It looks like Don has you covered.

If budget allows.. Shadow Creek is unforgettable, could eat a steak off the fairways!

LV Paiute is a Dye delight as well!

I might be wrong but I'm not sure if many folks that fly Allegiant play Shadow Creek.

All good suggestions up there. But if you haven't already made the trip, don't miss Rio Secco Golf Club.

I have only had the displeasure of flying on allegiant once. I didn't take my sticks, but I would highly recommend taking a different carrier if at all possible. I had literally the worst experience of my life with them. I would avoid them at all costs.
