Now that I have been cleared by my doctors to return to playing golf I felt it is time to prepare to start traveling. Step one, COVID vaccine. Stopped by the VA Regional Hospital today and received my first shot. Was so excited that I was able to get one without an appointment and my second vaccine is scheduled for February 11th. We are planning on going to Europe the second two weeks of June but no time for golf on the itinerary. A well planned cruise down the Rhine by our Travel Agent. They are the best and take good care of us. Have been to Paris, Hawaii, and Australia with them and they did not disappoint. The awaiting the announcement of this years Team Titleist Invitational. So hoping that it not a walking only course. Tried walking this year and this old body just cannot do it anymore. After the surgeries and even PT, it ain't gonna happen. Pain pills help some but not that much. Riding in a cart helps, having the ability to sit and rest makes the game easier. Maybe they will allow me to ride with a doctor's letter. I can get that with no problem from my neurologist and pomologist. Hoping to make it up to Grove Park Inn, Asheville, NC and maybe get in a round on their course there. Making preps, not bring on 2021 and let the fun begin. With respect and cheers to everyone this year. Fairways and greens...........

Glad you were able to get the vaccine. Between the pandemic and 6 inches of snow cover, I am so ready to get more than 15 miles from my house. Maybe even no longer being on a first name basis with my Prime driver. Golf was my only real outlet since the end of May. Have clubs, will travel.

I will be able to hit the waiting lists for the vaccine on Monday. But might still take until May to get to the head of the line.

Received shot number two on the 11th. My wife is scheduled in March to get hers. Will be finalizing our Europe trip, March 2nd. So far it has not been canceled. Met with my PC Dr yesterday and he gave me the letter I need if our TT Invitational is a walking course that requires such a letter to be able to ride a cart. Heading down to Hilton Head for the RBC Heritage, prior to start of the tournament. We will be there setting up for the Pro/Ams and shoe fittings for the participants. Will see how the rest of year plays out.

Since posted... the snow is now 2 feet and the temp hasn't hit 20 degrees in over 3 weeks. Still on a first name basis with the Prime driver. Prime now does have N95 masks made in the US.

But...got my 1st vaccination on 2/11 and the second is scheduled for 3/11. Will be making it to SD for that annual event. Have signed up for Wisconsin SGA for some senior events. With scheduled events and vaccinations the world is looking up. Even have a forecast over 32 next week to look forward to.

My wife is dragging me to mexico in april for a wedding, not really sure how i feel about it from a human being standpoint. All thats going on and all the adversity ppl are facing... I'm very puzzled on whats right and what is not. The fact is we have to go, it is her brother and she will regret it if we dont. taking the clubs though and looking to play some golf, that will ease my mind a little bit!

Eric, I went to Cancun a few weeks ago. Played Mayakoba to get it off the bucket list. The hotel was probably around 30% capacity and very safe protocols there and at the golf course. The only stress I felt was at the airport coming home. It was the last day before the COVID test requirement to get back into the USA and it was packed. Americans at the gate waiting areas not wearing masks properly and distancing. All seats full on the return flights. You might have issues with spring break crowds in April depending on where you go. That's the only thing I would be nervous about. Hope it goes well for you. Enjoy.

Thanks Dale, I didn't even think of the spring breakers!! Heading just south of cancun, so definitely working on a round at Mayakoba. Any tips for that??
