    I am looking to play golf near London and came across this course as a historical course. Is this a good target or should I be looking at other courses?

    If you've played Walton Heath, what should I expect?

    There are two courses at Walton Heath and both are superb examples of classic English heathland courses.
    If you are in the area, you should also look at ‘The W’s’ - West Hill, Woking and Worplesdon. Two of my particular favourites are Hindhead and Hankley Common.
    There’s plenty more to choose from and I’ve not mentioned Wentworth or Sunningdale…

    I was looking at the Old Course which I think hosted the Ryder Cup. I'll explore some of the others you mentioned as well!

    I’m a member of Walton Heath.

    The Ryder Cup and more recent tournaments (British Masters and SeniorOpen) play a composite course which is 14 from our Old course and 4 from our New course.

    If you want to play, I’m happy to join you and provide the benefit of a reduced green fee.

    Wow, I am beyond impressed and supremely flattered!! I’d love to play, but was told that my original tee time for the Old Course had to be canceled so I thought I was out of luck. Any chance you’re available on Sunday, 3 July 2022?

    Just out of interest AJP1065 , what are the Green fees at Walton Heath and the reduced green fees?

    My brother lives close by to Walton Heath (Epsom ) , and played with a member also, said it was a joy to play and that I must try play it one day.

    I think they are c. £250 as a visitor and £50 with a member (maybe £52 at a weekend)
