Just wanted to share info from my trip to Dubai. I played; Yas Links - awesome, very pretty to look at and a challenge with the wind blowing Majilis - iconic and cool with the grandstands up, course not yet in tip top shape as they are preping for the Desert Classic in January but greens were super rapid Earth Course - tough but fun with thick rough, 99 bunkers (I saw a fair few of them and disapointingly/ironically they seemed a bit light on sand in them!) and again the wind was blowing Els Club - very welcoming, lovely and fair course, tested your short game. Played with two cool guys from Canada, thanks David and Matt for a fun day

I'd highly recomend a visit if you get the chance. Facilities and service were up there with the best I've ever seen and there are a lot of other courses to play. Met some great folks. Only negative was pace of play as a couple of the courses were very busy but then again its peak season. Advice from one of the expats I played with was to go back in May/June as the courses are pretty quiet due to the heat but with a buggy its fine and its also good value.

    Hope this is of interest.
