I walked away from the game for about 8 years and have been back for about 4 months now. In that time I have upgraded to the T series irons (Titleist fitting, blended set), purchased a GT2 driver and TSR3 5 wood. The last hold out from almost a decade ago were my old Cleveland RTX3 wedges. I replaced my stock T100 PW with a Vokey PW and that was the beginning of the end for the RTX's. Next, I found a like new 58/12 D grind Vokey and again, wow!! Played a round with it for the first time this Sunday and was so impressed with the versatility. The D grind seems to suit me well. So, I just finished out my wedges with the purchase of a 50 F and a 54 S. If these wedges are anything like the other two, I will be very pleased. I used the "wedge" finder to go with the S grind for the 54 and hoping it suits me as well. I have been playing golf off and on for well over 35 years. I have never settled in on one brand for all my clubs before but I believe Titleist makes some of the best products on the market. I even switched out my bag to the Players 5 and am really liking it as well. Life is good!! So happy to be back in the game.

  2. I enjoyed reading your post, and I’ve shared a similar experience transitioning over from png irons and driver, Cleveland wedges, and cally fairway woods - went with a blended set T50 and T250, Vokey 52/56/60 and NOS TSi4 driver, alongside a NOS TSi3 Fairway 3W and adding a 5W or 7W….completed it all with a tour staff bag! Overall for me it’s the tech, feel, playability and confidence gained is unmatched with Titleist - after a 10yr hiatus, I’m going to be playing amateur tournaments throughout 2026 and keep on dropping clean putts with my Scottie!

I have never felt the need to stick with one brand in the bag but every Titleist club I have tried has been excellent. I have seen comments made here and there that only the pros play one brand because they get paid to play that brand. All I can say to that is I am going to play what feels good to me and gives me the results. I landed on Titleist from putter to driver and couldn't be happier. Again, each club feels fantastic and if I swing like I should I get fantastic results. I have always been a Titleist fan from back in the 990 DCI days. The quality and playability are second to none.
