standard gapping PW , GW, with vokey 54' and 58'

    recently purchased 54' and 58' vokey wedges, to compliment the standard T-300 irons. I get these clubs well, but wondering if the gap between the 48 and the 54 is little too much. Any, all opinions are appreciated.

    Not sure about how close you setup your next shot, but inside 80 yards, my distance is rarely the distance I can hit a full swing club. If you find a need to fill a distance gap that is difficult to hit with your present setup, then you may need consider different wedges or adjusting the loft. Don’t do it just to get a magic loft separation. Find a need then fill it.

    BTW, my setup is a 48F, 54S and 58M. I can adjust to cover a distance. I had a 50F but there was a distance gap between the 50 and the T350 Pw (44 degrees) that resolved better with the 48 (full swings).

    Depends. You'll need to either hit them on a trackman, or play a few rounds to see if the gap is manageable. If there is more than 20 yards between them on full swings, then you will need to either bend something to fill that gap better, or add another wedge.

    I think it varies depending on the individual. Personally mine is 50-54-60. I don’t mind the 6 degree gap between the 54 and 60. I rarely use the 60 other than bunker and flop shots and I can dial down the distance with the 54 if need be.

    I play the same exact gapping 48 54 58. And I don't have an issue.
    You can have the 48 weakened to 49 and the 54 bent strong to 53
    Just a thought.

    My basic wedge setup is 50-57-60. Not counting the 44F as a "wedge" because it is a 9 iron replacement. For 57 & 60 it's about bounce (58-12D and 60-06K or the "local" brand). For quite a long time, my wedge gapping had been 50-58-64. I've used either a 46-10F or 48-10F set 2* strong in place of a 9 iron since 2019. Up until recently my wedge gapping was 46-52-58-64 with "52" being 54-14F and "58" being 60-14K or 60-12D. I played K grind between 2018-2023 and hovered between D and K. My combo around the greens for almost 2 years now is 58-12D (57*) and 60-06K. 52-12F set to 50 is the "ideal" PW for me.

    For over a year my gaps were: miz PW @ 43, then my Vokeys were 48, 52, 58, and 60. Recently, I changed my Vokey setup to: 46, 50, 54, 58, and it has a made a very positive impact on my game. My yardages are more consistent and dialed in now, and I don't find myself between clubs nearly as often.

    My thumbnail is my general purpose "dirty dozen" bag. I just added a 56-10S that I set to 54* as a lower bounce option for the 52-12F (50*) and 58-12D (57*). I was playing the 60-06K paired up with PM grind 64/10 for 2 years. I just acquired a 60-04T and, once I got used to ball postion for various shots, replaced the low bounce K in my bag.

    The attached image are 3 extra lob wedges I use for course conditions. Just recently acquired the Wedgeworks 64T. One wedge is a local brand 60/10 with full face grooves. I still have the 60-06K.

    Obviously my thumbnail changed. My Vokey lineup is 42-50-54-58-64. 2nd image is 58-12D and 58-06K for course conditions. D and low K are a staple. The new SM11 is more universal, as set up.

    The third image is the same shot hit with the SM10 58-12D and SM11 60-12K. The actual lofts are 57 and 58.

    As of today my Vokey lineup is 42-50-54-58-64. Wedgeworks 44F, SM10 52-12, SM11 56-14F, SM11 60-12K and Wedgeworks 64T.

    I bought the 58-12K and set it to 56. Returned the 56-14F after practice showed the K grind was a little better. I have a 60-04T SM11 now. So I have a "traditional" 50-56-60 setup. I can add the PM Grind 64. As an alternative I have 60-12K (58*) and 64T.

    The below image is my SM11 lineup

    Basic lofts are 48-52-56-60 "traditional". A 58-12D for course conditions. 52-56 is 54-10S and 58-12K set 2* strong.

    My basic SM11 setup is 50-54-60. The images below show my complete "arsenal". Currently carrying a 58-12D (57*) for high bounce. If I want to play the 64T, will replace 60-04T with 60-12K (58*).

    My T150 PW is at 45 degree. I then have a 50, 56, and 60 - the 56 and 60 are both newer additions without much play, so not sure about yardages just yet

    After extensive practice, basically my wedge lineup returned to what I've been playing for a year now. The SM11 lineup shown is 50-57-60. The 58-12D (57*) and 60-06K have been a solid combo for high and low bounce since Wedgeworks introduced the low bounce K in 2024. Been playing jet black since Jan 2025. I just bought the 64T. If I want to play a Sunday bag, I pull low bounce K and 64T, and replace with 60-04T.

    Before I got the 44F (set it to 42*) 9 months ago,my upper combo was 46-52 (with 48-10F and 54-14F set 2* strong). I've been playing 52-12F set to 50* as a "PW".

    My thumbnail is my 14 club setup. Vokey lofts are 42-46-50-57-60-64. The 60-06K is locked. I traded the 60-04T after intense practice with the two 60* wedges.
