ProV1, unmatched performance in my opinion. Perfectly fitted for my game. Can’t wait for the 2019 version.

Mike, I wouldn’t turn away a sleeve or two if you need some additional testers...just saying, lol. These new balls as well as my new TS2 driver and fairway have me giddy for the 2019 season!

Pro V1 because it fits the flight window that I like. Plus the soft feel is hard to beat.

My vote went to the AVX. Always favored the ProV1x, but recently put the AVX into play and have liked the results, particularly off the tee.

ProvV1 is the 1 for me.
    #1 ball in Gall.
But, I've been rotating it with the AVX optic yellow.
I plan on putting the PROV1 optic yellow into play next spring.

  5. ProV1. Tried the AVX recently, but for my game its the ProV1. I love the feel and control I have with it.

Played the AVX all of the off-season since the AVX hit test markets, and still use it most of the time in-season. However I also use Pro V1 as well. I am still trying to decide which I like most, but definitely, in windier conditions it's the AVX. I had better distance with the AVX during the winter, but don't notice as much difference in summer between the two. Both are great and seem to fit my game nicely. (6.4 index presently.) Since I see so little performance difference between them, I will continue to play them both until (or if) I find a very strong argument for one over the other. When the temps start to drop and/or the breeze is up, it will likely be AVX.
  7. I play the ProV1x and seen some improvement over the year. I’m waiting to see how the yellow ProV1s look like and feel.

I liked the 2017 V, went with AVX amber so I could watch the flight, but at a TS fitting, Trackman and Joey convinced me the numbers were better with the V. It was easier to take with promise of an amber ball next year in the V. I'm happy with the results. Either is good, just that the V is enough better to switch.

ProV. Been playing it for years. Tried a sleeve of AVX and really liked it.
If it is included in the Loyalty promotion next spring, I may switch.

Interesting that more have not chosen the Tour Soft. Great ball at a nice price point.
  10. Tour Soft as of this summer

As a 20HC I previously played the DT TruSoft (which I still have 4 dozen left) or the sometimes srxn Soft Feel. I tried the new Tour Soft in the late Spring and switched soon after. The fact that I get a soft feel, good spin around the greens and a nice feel putting (all things I liked about the ProV1) but at about $15 a dozen less than a ProV1 made the switch easy. It does seem a little longer than the TruSoft and the srxn, but that's just based on being a few yards further out on familiar holes at my two local courses.

The Tour Soft has been a great ball so far and I'm glad Titleist added it to the lineup. I've got about 10 dozen at the moment.

    Hey Team Titleist,

It's time for another quick poll! Let us know what ball you play and tell us why by adding a comment below.

The new DT TruSoft ball is a great ball for every day play [4-5 times per week] and is why I chose it.

I play the X. I had a fitting and TPI Oceanside and it was the ball that worked best for me.

Switched from the X to the AVX last year when they were released for testing. I love the feel, control and iron distance increase.

I've experimented with the AVX and I like the ProV1x, but I seem to end up at the ProV1 more often than not.

I have tried most of the Titleist balls. This summer though, I tried the AVX and have stuck with it all summer. Gives me a little more distance. And I love the way it feels around the greens.
    Play Well,

  16. I do also really like using the prov1x as well but the DT trusoft was the ball I started with and I always liked the accuracy of it along with the feel it had when driving and putting all
  17. After several years playing 2013 and then 2017 ProV1x I am now 100% satisfied with my yellow AVX, which I’ve played since October of 2017.

In the past past I’ve always found one “Tour Ball” fairly similar to another. ProV1x was always my favorite but I could play OK with others. Never thought it was possible to make a better ball (for me) under the Rules of Golf but AVX is better and no doubt about it. I simply can’t go back to any other ball without being disappointed now.

When playing from the senior tees, I go with my Prov1s which is 99% of the time. When in a tournament that moves me back, I go with the AVX for that little bit of extra distance.

The Pro V1 ball is perfection! It checks all the boxes.

Pro V1. For quite a while, now. Consistently. I think playing the same model helps my game (if anything could, lol). It immediately removes the variable (and the excuse) that any problems I encounter during the round are ball related.
