On my birthday a couple years ago I dropped a ProV1 onto a short par three, bounced twice into a small hill on green then back down just missing an ace but a 3" birdie putt.
  2. 192 yards slightly downhill lie, big cottonwood guarding left left-center of the green. I hit a 4 iron, slight draw to about 2 feet - won the hole. Best shot I have hit in a long time.
  3. Mine was for my second shot on a 531 yard par 5. I hit a 6 iron from 198 and it collapsed half the side of the cup and stayed for my first double eagle!!! Loved joining the club of having both a hole in one (2) and a double eagle!

  4. I was lucky enough to record a albatross at Caledonia Country Club on hole #12 in a match I was playing. I was giving my opponent a stroke and my 3 wood found the cup for a 2. He just missed his birdie put which he complained had he made still would have lost him the hole!

Not with a ProV1 or ProV1x, but with an old balata Titleist circa 1989.

I hit a 220'ish yard 1 iron off hardpan from left trees to a blind green to make an albatross. The shot required a hook of about 25 yards and to run up a hill between two bunkers to a left rear pin. The only thing that would have made it better was actually being able to see it go in.
  6. I was in a playoff in a local golf tournament about 20 years ago. We replayed the 18th hole for the playoff. I was a 15 back then. I had just triple bogeyed 18 to fall into a playoff. It was a short par 4 surrounded by bunkers. It took me 3 shots to get out of the sand. In the playoff I hit into the same bunker again with my second shot. I holed the bunker shot to win the playoff. Priceless.
  7. Hole-in-one with PROV1x on a 186 yard Par 3 in Michigan. It was the day after my divorce, so right then and there I knew everything was going to be ok with the rest of my life.

Do you have a shot that stands out as the best you've ever hit? Fill in the blank and let us know by adding a reply below...

For me, the best shot I hit in recent memory with my Pro V1x was a 2-footer for par on the 18th hole of The Old Course. While the shot itself wasn't anything spectacular, the culmination of that magical experience will be hard to beat for me.

My first and only Hole In One. 17th green at Tallgrass, CC in Wichita, Kansas. My ProV1 hit right behind the pin and backed up into the hole. The ball, scorecard, and the Hole In One certificate from Titleist are framed and hang on my office wall. ( Courtesy of my wife, of course )

A high cut with a 7 wood from 210 into a par 5. Hit the bottom of the flagstick and dented the cup. Spun out to about 3 inches for a tap in eagle. Still never got that albatross!

On the 14th @ Woodley Lakes GC (359 from the whites) in Los Angeles, I hit a 7 iron from 150 yards into the cup for a deuce. What made it memorable was that everyone in the group saw it headed right for the pin, but never thought to look in the cup. The green had recently been plugged and many plugs were left on the front apron (stymies?), in front of the hole. We thought it may have been deflected by one of these. After about five minutes of searching all around the green, I finally asked one of the guys to look in the cup, and lo and behold, there lay my Pro V1 #1 at the bottom of the cup.
  12. Par 5, at Crooked Creek Golf Club in London, Ky. Second shot, 228 yards out with a 18 degree hybrid, I hit the pin and ended up 2 feet away!!
  13. On the 18th hole at Vanderbilt country club my second shot on a par 5 landed in a bunker. The bunker shot to the green was 173 yards. I was playing ProV1 #77. I hit the bunker shot to 6 feet from the pin with a 4 iron. I made the birdie! That was my longest sandy. At 68 years old it probably will always be. Love the ProV1 and #77.
  14. The best shot I ever (never) hit with a ProV1 was with a Bridgestone. Landed an 8 iron 2 feet above the hole (Par 3 green sloped back to front) and it stuck and bit. Partner looked at me and said, "If that was a ProV1 it would have spun back and in." He was right.
  15. My most memorable shot was on the 18th hole at Whistling Straits. Playing from the tips with the sun setting. 235 in, just in the first cut. My caddy gives me my hybrid. I hit it straight in to the sun, squinting we see it land about 5 feet past and role to about 15 feet. The assembled wedding party on the lawns clapped. It was my “Major moment”. Missed the putt by a country mile but the Spotted Cow afterwards made up for it !

  16. Just before I went for open heart surgery to replace an aortic valve & aorta, I was on the 9th hole at Fountaingrove GC in Santa Rosa. The hole has water down the left side of the green and traps in front & behind. From 134 yards, I hit a perfect 9-iron that landed on the downslope in front of the green. It spun and trickled into the hole for a hole-in-one. Titleist Pro Vi.
  17. I would have to say it was on hole 17 in my home course Breton Bay, during a tournament. There's a tight tee line in both sides of the fairway with a steep downhill, about half way down the fairway, towards the green. I pulled my drive and left myself about 180 with a tree blocking my line. I hey my 7 iron, AP2 btw, with about a 20 yard draw while not even being able to see there green. Stuck it to about 4 feet and made my birdie. Nothing matches the confidence I have standing over a ProV1.

My second Hole In One came at Sedona Golf Resort on hole number 10. It's 210 yards of beauty and treachery. December 5th, I won the battle with a PROV1.

  19. My most memorable day with a pro V one was when I teed off on number one chipped in for eagle 200. Next hole par for chipped in for birdie three under. Next hole 171 yard par three I pulled it so far to the right that I gave it the *** word it hit on the side of the embankment across the green and into the whole. five under after three holes I retired that ball that ball and went on and shot a 40. LOL
  20. Tee shot on #14 at Old MacDonald at Bandon which is straight up hill. It was playing 320 and I hit a rocket dead on my line that carried about 280, rolled up the hill and settled to about 5 feet. Shockingly enough, I made the putt for eagle 2.
