  1. I've read the dimple count is now a little different. I'm using both X and regular and they are great
  2. A final inquiry, I think. Wee any balls sent out to test to TT members ?

If Titleist has changed the dimple pattern, it is going to be interesting to look at the numbers.

Pro V1, 352 dimple pattern = a more penetrating and more consistent flight...

Pro V1X, 328 dimple pattern = higher trajectory + increased carry distances for most players...

Looking forward to learning more about the new ProV1 and ProV1X

If the new ProV1 is harder, would this sacrifice feel around the greens?
  4. A friend of mine had his hands on it, and mentioned he may swap the new ProV1 for the old -leftdash. He mentioned it has less spin off the driver, but more spin around the greens and a bit softer too. If so, that would be my go to ball for sure.

“White boxes” were part of the giveaway at the Team Titleist Invitational. ProV1x feels a touch softer. Will give them a go over the next several weeks.

With the aforementioned white boxes, I was not able to discern much difference between the 2. Off of putter, the click was very close. I can tell they aren't the AVX. I'll need to get a ball fitting on Trackman to see if the V or X will be my next loyalty purchase. One round of golf alternating holes was not enough to discern that one was significantly better. As a V user, I wouldn't be surprised if the X fits my game better. At least through the 2017 version, the X didn't come off the face as well at my slower speed. This one does.

Headed to Hilton Head and will get in 36 holes and a little short game practice with them. I don’t expect the differences to be dramatic enough to dump my current stock but probably will enjoy the subtle improvements.

Softer and still has less spin off the driver is an interesting combination for the new ProV1x. Am intrigued to hear more first hand accounts, hopefully with while boxes from the TTI we'll hear more about the new balls on this board.

Any word on if there is a new left dash when these new models of the V1 and X come out?

Expect the formal announcement for the 2021 Pro-V1/Pro-V1x at the PGA Show in Orlando at the end of January. ...Assuming something in this world remains consistent.
  14. wow that late!! any idea if the new pro v1 is longer.. I love the avx because of the distance but pro v1 spins on the green so much better.. I hope the new pro v1 closes the gap

There won't be a PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando this year. It is going to be a 'virtual' show, and I'm curious what that actually means.

I would love to test again. Been a few years since I was sent some test balls.
  17. From those that have tested the new V and V1x it appears that they are moving toward the left dash performance characteristics. Which, IMO, is a good thing as I prefer the reduced spin off the driver and added spin around the green that the left dash was designed to provide. Currently playing the -Pro V1x.

getting the white box in the mail is always a great day, I have had the experience in past years and love the idea of providing input on what the best company does with the best ball in golf.

as far as the balls this year with the golf ball plant having to close on a couple of occasions the distribution of golf balls was slowed. just a guess but it would seem that there would be a slight delay in getting the new ones out.
  19. I have been lucky enough to be given half a dozen 2021 ProV1’s. I tried them for the first time on Sunday and I was very impressed. On a cold afternoon (4°c) with soft fairways and bumpy greens, it performed well. A lovely penetrating flight with good carry distance, solid off the driver and long irons, good controls and consistent spin with the shorter clubs and a lovely roll from the putter. Links golf tomorrow so I’m looking forward to seeing how it plays in a breeze and on fairways with some run.
