I haven't checked on this thread for a while. It's really interesting to see what everyone plays - a real nice mix of some awesome equipment in here! Nice to see some of you with tournament wins using the older stuff too.

It's hard to not want to go out and buy the latest and greatest, but Titleist has put out some great clubs over the years and I for one am happy to continue playing older tech unless the golf gods see fit to gift me with a new set. :)

I've been using me recently acquired DCI OS+'s will excellent results. I've been able to put a nice draw into my shot library with them. Might be just mind over matter using these as opposed to my other game improvement irons, but it's working.

I just came across some 804-OS irons also... not a full set, but all even irons. I took these out the other day to swing them. These are VERY nice irons. First time I've ever used a forged iron, and very impressed with the feel. I also got some shaping out of these. I'll look for the rest of these over time to complete the set, and maybe give these a whirl in the future.

So, I just wanted to brag a bit on Titleist and myself. I striped my 585 hybrid a little over 270 yards (with about a 8-10mph tailwind) yesterday. I absolutely love my Titleist clubs and the things I'm able to do with them when I make a quality swing!!! It doesn't matter how old they are, Titleist clubs are the best!

I saw the loft on the hybrid in your profile was a 21* loft.  That's about a three iron and that is some what of a poke.  That is up there with the long hitters on the tour.  Assuming that you are close to a scratch golfer with that kind of power.   I'd be happy to hit my driver that far consistently.  Of course at 68 that would be a poke for me.

I won't lie, I'm about an 18 handicap for a number of reasons (you should see how many penalties I've racked up in some of my recent rounds) and that particular drive was exceptionally well struck. I've always been a pretty long hitter though and can drive the ball 320+ when I get it right. Sadly, that doesn't happen often because I don't strike the ball consistently well and have a bad tendency to slice.

It was just one of those shots that gets burned into memory because of how good it looks and feels. I've hit that particular hybrid 230~ a couple of times before, but that tee shot was just exquisite - straight down my intended line and in the fairway. It just goes to show that the promise of more distance from new gear isn't necessarily true, and proves to me why I need not look to other brands for better performing clubs.

Being a total Brand loyalist, I agree that Titleist makes some very fine tuned equipment.   And there are some sweet shafts out there that aide those finely tuned heads.  When you find that perfect match, well you know the result.  I have hit most of the other brands over the years and I came back to Titleist to stay.  Me, I like the accuracy of their clubs.....

Agreed. I've not gamed very many other brands, but I've fiddled with a few and none have invoked as much excitement as Titleist.

I'm currently playing a set of DCI 762's from 2002.  I want a new set of AP2 Irons, but other obligations in life keep pushing that back, lol. Such is life, but my irons are holding up okay in the meantime.

I'm still playing a 905R driver and 906F2 fairways (15 and 18). I also have a great set of 990B irons and a Scotty Cameron Mil-Spec Newport. For this season (2015) I'm picking up a new set of Vokey wedges.
