I have been fortunate to purchase a couple Scotty Cameron's over the years. In 2000 I picked up a Pro Platinum Del Mar 3 which was a great putter. Then in 2003 I purchased a Futura. That was a big departure from the classic top-line view and I could never get used to it so I went back to the Del Mar. My son started on his high school golf team so I gave him the Futura. I still play the Del Mar today.

I have a Studio Stainless Center Shafted Prototype. It has excellent feel and the center shaft makes it easy to set up. And, in true Scotty fashion, the ball finds it's way into the hole!!! Steve

I have a several Scottys which I game, two Select Newport 2s, a Newport 2 Buttonback, a Fastback 1.5 and an Asian spec Circa 63 #3.
I tend to switch them around depending on my form or the speed of the greens during the season.
My go to is the 2008 Studio Select Newport II in SSS I had it made up through the Custom shop. It always finds its way back into the bag and stays there the longest!!

  7. Putters fall into various categories as you know depending on personal preferences...

I spent some time recently at the Scotty Cameron Studio (not gallery) where the tour pros go to be fitted by Scotty's crack fitter (primarily Paul) and discussing these preferences. According to him, the key to knowing where to start is the amount (or lack of) toe flow (SBST or Arc) followed by the amount of forgiveness a player wants. The bigger the head sometimes equates to more forgiveness. Also, some players have played a blade all their careers and they do not want to change however most players are open to what will make the most putts.

My personal favorite as a SBST (Straight Back Straight Through) Putter is a SC Futura Deluxe. However I am constantly experimenting with a variety of putters in the SC Line up including blades....

Good luck and have fun experimenting with all the putter choices!

I have two Scotty’s California Del Mar which is a solid putter for me. Love the look and is buttery to putt with. I just picked up the 2018 studio select Newport. I have been rolling the ball well with it. On my way to less 3 putts I hope. Scotty’s are in my opinion the only way to go. Maybe someday I will get a circle t. Haha
  11. I love the Newport 2 but I put the best with my favorite, the Futura 6M

I have two Newport 2 Notchbacks. One in black (when they first came out) with 15 grm weight and one in chrome (2016 model and last edition) with 10 grm weights, with Golf Pride Tour SNSR Contour 104cc grips. The speed of the greens determine the putter I will use. This model putter has worked well for me with my slightly open putter stance, allowing me better vision down the line. I had a studio model newport 2 and a regular newport 2, sold both of them.
Great putters, but they did not set up right for me.

  15. Newport two and Newport three. Love both!
  16. I have the 2012 GoLo and really like it. It has an awesome feel to it! If I were to get another I would definitely go with the Futura 5.5m. Can’t go wrong with Scotty!

My go too putter and always in my bag is my Studio Stainless Newport 2.7 face balanced blade. I like a face balanced putter, but have always preferred the blade look. It’s my favorite out of my 3 Scotty’s with the other being the GOLO mallet and the black Newport Notchback.

  21. 1998 TeI3 Newport 2 Long Neck.

After many years playing mid-size mallets, I got tired of my poor distance control from 20' out so I switched to a blade late this summer. I like the new models but I've always had a thing for the Terylliums. So far so good!
