Lay up to 85 yards for a nice smooth lob wedge that I can control the spin on.

Lay up. We have a short par 4 (narrow 285 with nothing but trouble on both sides) that I birdie way more often when laying up rather than going for it.

Looking at the flyover even the lay up is difficult! So many bunkers to run out into/come up short of fairway into, i'd rather be in a green side bunker than one of the fairway ones!

Driver! I like to get as close as I can and let the short game do work.

I would hit my driver. Of course, that would still be a layup on that hole for me. I would still have a wedge to the green. :)

Lay up! I have had much more success, making birdie or par when I do that. I also use my seat belt when I drive.
  7. I would probably lay up and leave myself a short wedge in and go for the birdie! Or if the round was not going the way I wanted to, I might pull out the driver and go for it! :) It would also depend how I am hitting the driver that day and whatnot.
  8. No doubt, going for it

    Definitely go for it.
My answer sounds pretty macho, but, in reality, I can't go as far as I used to, so effectively I'd be laying up... :D
  10. I would lay up to a comfortable number where I know I can give myself a good look at birdie. - Josh

Wow. There are some players in this group. I'm just a mere mortal, so it's a driver for me 14 times a round.
