    Northampton,

Great opportunity. I had it in my diary but like many others really wanted it to include the old course. I still hope to get to play there one day. I am sure it will be an amazing couple of days for those of you that have signed up.
  3. Linda,

Thank you for your message, I appreciate that the Old Course isn't on there and but there was no opportunity for us to get on. We have looked at other great options around the area and are confident we have chosen wisely.

There will definitely be other opportunities throughout the year for Team Titleist.

    Northampton,

Thanks Will - I have loved the two Team Titleist events that I have attended so far and will be looking out for more opportunities!
  5. WIll be an amazing event - thats obvious!
However with this cost, as much as i would love to , this is just not affordable.
WIll is there an option to come and play one of the days for a lesser price?
Looking forward to another TT single day event this year.
  6. I have just been sent the invite for the event again. I imagine they are struggling for numbers. As said in previous posts the cost is prohibitive and courses not that attractive, and I almost feel this has been aimed at US TT members rather than UK.

Pretty much any of these events that have put up have sold out very quickly. Seems like TT may have got this one wrong this time.

Looking forward to other opportunities for events in the future.

You guys complain that you don't get opportunities like the TT members in the USA and then when you do, you complain about the courses and the prices. This price is very comparable to the prices of the events in the USA that always sell out. This one was not open to the USA until a few weeks after the UK so the UK would have priority. The attendees from the USA will pay the same fee as UK plus will be paying a significant amount more for their overseas flights and extra days needed to attend. If you don't want to go or want to do something cheaper, organize your own local golf day like many do in the USA but please know that Titleist is not putting these on for large profits, they are doing it for us TT members.

Hi Dale, being 'comparable' in price doesn't equal good value, and it is the value of this offering that is the consistent theme across the posts in this thread.

Dale hi hope you are well yes the price appears expensive to
Me the issue with St Andrews it looks a business in itself. Titleist looks like it had to go through an agent so there is profit and vat which pushed the price upon. I’m not the knowledgeable to know how to get 72 people onto St Andrews in the middle of summer is but I expect not easy. People asked for this and probably under estimated the cost!! The cost will take a certain percentage out but that’s life feedback is always interesting maybe the boys travelling from the US I’ve had friends here look at the US ones same discussion!!
I’m not going but I’m still buying the lottery tickets so there’s still a chance!! Keep well and good golfing

There seems to be a few comments on here suggesting that TT held a couple of events last year which sold out straight away and then decided to do something crazy and have 'missed the mark' with this one. This is a totally different event to the ones held last year. This is a larger, multi day invitational, not the same as the single day events held last year.

This isn't the first TT Invitational held in the UK, there was one held at Turnberry back in 2018, which was a multi day event, gala dinner, special guests, hotel and food included, amazing goodie bags etc. It wasn't near as expensive as this one but it was a lot of money and people were priced out of it then too, that was 5 years ago.

I'm pretty sure the guys running TT are not unaware of the cost of living crisis and that the cost of this event will rule out the majority of TT members but i'm also pretty sure they wouldn't be setting the cost for this event. I might be wrong but it appears to be a package put together by a third party, costs will determined by them, the courses, hotel, transfers, their management costs, mark ups etc.

Obviously another venue could have been selected that wouldn't have been as expensive, but (without looking back at the thread) I remember thinking St. Andrews was on most peoples bucket list / top 5 courses they want to play (yes I am aware that the Old Course isn't included in this event!) but i'm guessing that the TT team looked at the results, thought St. Andrews was the place to go, couldn't get the Old Course but decided to get what they could (by all accounts very good courses too) and went with it.

Another factor of going with Scotland that time of year is the fact that the DP World Tour is there for the Scottish Open that week which (just guessing here) may increase the opportunity of special guests / opportunities.

For the record, I am not going. When the event was announced, like many others I assumed it would have included the Old Course, I was planning on booking for me and my father to attend, but when it was announced without the OC he said he wasn't too fussed about going and that then made it nearly £2k for me to attend on my own, before I look at flights, car hire, possible additional accommodation etc.

As many others have said, it's another amazing (albeit expensive) opportunity from Titleist. I don't see any other OEM's doing what Titleist do by engaging with their customers / fans and providing various opportunity / events / freebies.

I hope all that are attending have a great time, I look forward to hearing all about it! I'm also looking forward to seeing everyone at future TT events!

Also a massive thank you to Sharon and Alister from St Andrews for golf one of the best companies to use if you’re planning a golf trip to anywhere. They put on a great trip and ran it perfectly.

Yep, even with all the discussion about price, at the end of the day, the memories we will take with us for this experience will last on, well past any concerns I have about a hit on my savings account. Like they say, you can't take it with you and the greatest pleasures are the memories of places and people. Great event! Thanks for including me and hopefully I stay above ground for a few more.
